Welcome to Tenerife - the island of the “eternal spring” You have found one of the most beautiful and most varied islands. Of course a virtual trip in the internet is not to compare with a holiday at Tenerife, but we try to give you some insider information for getting a much better imagination. |
Climate: The main question for planning a holiday is: “When is the most beautiful season?”. The answer is simple: Tenerife is a all season holiday destination. It offers a warm temperature the whole year so that both air conditioning and a heater are redundant. Due to the whole year warm temperature of the Atlantic ocean, go swimming is always possible. Because of the fact that in particular the northern side of the island is protected against the sun by trade clouds in the summer, the temperature e.g. in august is much more enjoyable as at the Mediterranean sea. You can find more information about the current weather forecast und the weather chart when visiting the before mentioned links. |
Travel season: If you are flexible with your holiday we would recommend you to travel in the low season - enjoy the same services much cheaper and have a better chance to get the room you would like to have. Low season times are from the beginning of June until the middle of July and at the beginning of December. In addition to that the magnificent anthesis is between May and June. |

The north coast: Puerto de la Cruz is not just a small fishing village. The brisk old town with its pedestrian area offers a lot more than touristic facilities. It is just a 15 minutes walk downhill to the old town from the hotel Florasol. Here you can retire from the turbulences and enjoy tranquillity. The nice beach “Playa Jardin” with its black sand is also just one kilometre away and the bus station, from which on you can visit the whole island, is even closer. If you would like to know more about the island we recommend the website of the tourist information in English. There you can also found various maps of the island. A general map and a city map are helping for having a better orientation. Santa Ursula is situated apart from the inrushes of tourists. Here you can find our Apartments Villasol and Vistamar. Santa Ursula is situated 300 meters above sea level and therefore higher than Puerto de la Cruz. Because of this fact you will find some spectacular panoramic views over The Orotava valley. The northern coast offers a lot of beaches with black sand for having a bath in the Atlantic ocean. There are wonderfull swimming beaches just 30 km away near Santa Cruz with shallow water. Half the battle of the north are various viewpoints, that are offering wonderful views of the blue of the sea, the green of the landscape and the magnificent Pico de Teide. With its 3718 meters it is the highest mountain of Spain and even the highest volcano of Europe. |
